Over 69 years in business, Terminix Service, Inc. has been grown to become one of the largest pest control companies in the United States. The Terminix Service, Inc. franchise operations cover the state of South Carolina, the Charlotte metrolina and western portion of North Carolina as well as the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) of Georgia. Terminix Service, Inc. has had tremendous growth over the years and continues to look for additional add-on services that we can provide to our customers.
We have yet to meet a customer that did not see a dramatic reduction in their energy costs for their home.

It is a service we offer our customers that can pay for itself in a few short years by reducing their heating and cooling bills! From that point on, our customers will continue to save money year after year! From an operational standpoint, the added protection in the attic space helps to reduce service calls by preventing potential pest infestations in the attic. This helps increase overall productivity and profit by allowing our employees to be more efficient in running their routes.
Our main concern when starting this service was ensuring we could properly train our 1,000 plus employees, in six regions, across three states on the features and benefits and proper installation of TAP® Pest Control Insulation Our business model is unique as all of our field personnel are trained to be what we call a “keyman.” Our keymen are trained in all aspects of sales and service so the customer can build a relationship with one person who provides all of their service needs.
The support and training is what set the TAP® Pest Control Insulation support team apart from other companies. The TAP® Pest Control Insulation team supported our efforts by providing product literature, marketing materials, online sales training and online installation training. Their members’ website portal is a wonderful reference and support tool, but their hands-on training is what we appreciate most. The TAP® Pest Control Insulation support team has spent time over the past eight years in each of our six regions performing hands-on sales and service installation training. I truly feel we would not have had the success we have had with our insulation services was it not for the help of the TAP® Pest Control Insulation support team!

The most effective sales tool they have available is their thermal demonstration unit. Most of our “Terminix R-Plus Insulation featuring TAP® Pest Control Insulation” sales are in the form of an Attic Capping service. This is where we add a fresh layer of TAP® Pest Control Insulation directly on top of the homeowner’s existing insulation to increase the r-value (energy efficiency) of the home while adding a permanent layer of pest protection. The thermal demonstration unit has been a wonderful visual aid to help our customers understand why TAP® Pest Control Insulation outperforms traditional insulation(s). It enables the customer to physically see and comprehend how cellulose fibers prevent heat loss through conduction and convection. TAP® Pest Control Insulation is densely packed which prevents heat loss caused by air infiltration and radiation.
