Pressure Gauge (10 PSI)

$65.00

The Pressure Gauge is vital to make sure your equipment is running properly. It is recommended to regularly check your blowing machine to ensure that it is operating at its optimal outputOur pressure gauge is Professional Grade, complete with a neoprene gasket allowing for long & accurate use.

The gauge is designed to measure both static air pressure and variability in pressure to check the condition of the airlock seals.  The pressure gauge will measure the pounds per square inch (PSI) moving from the motor and measure the condition of the airlock seals to make sure they are in proper operating condition. Regular use of the pressure gauge will let you know when it’s time to replace the airlock seals and keep your machine operating at optimal production rates.

Description

Directions for Use:

1. Close material gate so no material can flow into the airlock.
2. Using a Feed Bag or Burlap Bag (any bag that allows air to pass through but catch the material) over the outlet on the machine, turn on the air and agitator to empty out the material in the airlock (approximately 15 sec.).
3. With the machine off, put the Pressure Gauge over the outlet and push tightly making sure there are no leaks.
4. Turn on the air and check to see what the PSI measurement is. NOTE: The Krendl 425, 475 and 575PCO should run between 3.0 and 3.5 PSI.
5. Then run the agitator with the air as well. The gauge may begin to “bounce” as the airlock seals are rotating. Pay specific attention to the low end of the PSI reading. If you see the gauge dropping below 2.50/2.75 PSI, your airlock seals are worn or damaged and should be changed.
