- Doc Hendle, one of the Top 10 CNN Heroes for 2009 and creative genius behind the Wine to Water foundation, demonstrated with his own personal story how each of us have the capability to make a difference in the lives of others. Regardless of experience, skill set or resources, everyone can make an impact to provide a better future for our fellow man.
- Commander Kirk Lippold provided expertise on developing critical thinking skills to address crisis management revealing his first-hand experience leading the crew aboard the USS Cole following a devastating terrorist attack.
- The work completed in the past year by the Professional Pest Management Association in raising awareness of public health issues and solutions has truly helped our industry project the ethical, innovative, and necessary strides we have made on a global stage.
- The pest management and wildlife industry is comprised of many talented and innovative professionals such as:
- Sarah Thomas-Clark, Vice President for Thomas Pest Services, received the Young Entrepreneur Award.
- Bob and Judy Dold, longtime leaders of Chicago-based Rose Pest Solutions, were awarded the Pinnacle Award for being outstanding industry contributors.
- Kim Kelley-Tunis, Rollins, Inc., was awarded the Women of Excellence Award.
- Marty Overline, Aardvark Pest Management in Philadelphia, PA, was named the Committee Chair of the Year for his work with PestVets.
- Companies benefit from their NPMA membership. Two new Membership Programs were revealed to assist companies in creating a brighter future:
