Get rid of the clutter

Attics, basements, and garages can often go undisturbed for long periods making them the perfect hideout for spiders, rodents, and other pests. Discard any items you no longer need and store those you will keep in plastic containers to keep them out of reach from pests. Cardboard boxes can hold moisture and damage your belongings, so try to avoid them when possible.

Seal all cracks and crevices

Pests can make their way into your home through the smallest gaps in windows, doors, roofs, and vents. Make sure to seal all cracks and any other possible points of entry to stop these pesky creatures.

Fix leaks

Moisture can be a big attraction for pests like cockroaches and silverfish. Remember to fix leaks in kitchen and bathroom sinks to eliminate any possibility of having these pesky little creatures in your home. Remember to check under and around sinks, tubs, and toilets to prevent moisture issues from leaking pipes.

Don’t forget the outside

Check and repair your roof clean out clogged gutters and downspouts. Repair damaged screens, windows, and doors. Trim bushes and branches, remove rotted tree stumps, leaves, and other plant waste.
